Growing up I had moussaka often and in our family it is usually my grandma who makes it so this is her recipe. This is also basic moussaka recipe which I added chili to because I like spicy food and bacon slices for deeper flavor. Bacon slices also make for a pretty presentation.
This last weekend was my husbands birthday and I wanted to surprise him with a dessert! His favorite desserts are Nutella and Ferrero Rocher so I combined the two and I made these cupcakes. These are very VERY sweet and VERY delicious! And way more fun to eat than a cake which I originally was thinking of making.
When I first made these brownies and syrup, I remember how the whole house smelled of raspberries! So it is very important to use good quality raspberries! And you will know good quality when you open the bag of frozen raspberries-they should be very fragrant. This is why I always use Serbian raspberries.
