This mixed berry crumble is everything I could dream of! I love when fruit still holds its shape and it is juicy and warm. For the crumble, I think I like it without oats and with crunchy almonds instead. And when you add fresh fruit to it and some good vanilla ice cream….just WOW!
First time I tried this cake was at the Frankfurt airport, when my husband and I were going home from a holiday, and we had a layover there. I absolutely fell in love with the cake! It is juicy, a little sweet and sour from the plums. It has just enough dough underneath the plums and just enough crunchy topping for the most exciting texture! It also looks beautiful!
Fresh nectarines are enough on their own, but these grilled ones with cold ice cream, smooth caramel syrup and crunchy salty peanuts are just irresistible!
